Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes to keep the castle looking its best? We have some very passionate volunteers that kindly help us to keep the grounds in order.

We post our monthly reports here for you to explore and enjoy the news from the grounds team volunteers to experience their conservation efforts and seasonal ups and downs with us. We really hope you enjoy this series and get to know us a little bit better. 

Chiddingstone Castle is surrounded by 35 acres of grounds which include lawns, woodland, a lake and a Victorian Orangery. Our volunteers work tirelessly all year round to ensure it not only looks good but is also a safe and protected environment for the nature we provide a habitat for.
