Once upon a time, in a faraway jungle, lived a peacock named Penny. Though shy, she was quite beautiful and bold.

 

It was Penny’s birthday and so she was going to have a party with a huge chocolate cake! Her best friends (who were coming to the party) were a snowy owl and a soft pigeon.

 

For Penny’s party they were going mountain climbing! Everything was ready to go and as they hiked up and down to the mountain their other friend, lion said ‘I wish this was a time travel party because I’d love to go back in time and see the Pharaohs’.

 

When they got to the mountain they saw a wonderful castle. As they walked further up the mountain towards the castle a terrible thing happened! Suddenly their bunny friend, Sniffles, fell! But to their amazement the snowy owl flew down and saved her and carried her back up to safety. All the friends cheered and then hiked back down the mountain.

 

When they got to the bottom the birthday presents were handed out. Snowy owl gave a book about magic. The lion gave a painting he had made and pigeon gave a pretty, china teacup.

 

Everyone was happy and couldn’t wait to visit again!
