Japanese After-school Clubs
February and March
As part of our Year of Japan program we are running free Japanese after-school clubs for children (recommended age 8 - 11). Get ready for the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics with this introduction to Japanes language and culture.
The Beginner’s Japanese club will involve learning greetings, how to introduce yourself, counting, and how to write your name as well as fun games and tongue twisters!
At the Origami club you can learn how to fold a samurai helmet and a beautiful crane.
The Japanese Calligraphy club will teach you the techniques of the ancient art of painting Japanese words with a brush, including how to sit, how to hold the brush, and different calligraphy styles.

Monday 10th February 16.00 – 17.30 (Beginner’s Japanese)
Tuesday 11th February 16.00 – 17.30 (Origami)
Monday 2nd March 2020 16.00 – 17.30 (Origami)
Tuesday 3rd March 2020 16.00 – 17.30 (Japanese calligraphy)
Wednesday 4th March 2020 16.00 – 17.30 (Beginner’s Japanese)
