Do we allow dogs in the grounds?
We welcome dogs in the grounds and tea room courtyard as long as they’re kept on leads at all times. With the exception of assistance dogs, dogs are not allowed in the Historic House and Collections.
Is Chiddingstone Castle a member of the National Trust?

Where can I park?
Chiddingstone Castle has a large car park that is suitable for coaches. On busy days the overflow car park is on the castle lawn. Car parking charges apply to all parking areas within the castle grounds.
Do you charge for parking?
Parking is free for the first 45 minutes, then charged at £1 for 1 extra hour or £3 for the full day (+20p Ringo fee).
Can we get to Chiddingstone Castle by public transport?
If you are travelling to us by train, our cloest stations are Penshurst, Cowden, Hever, Edenbridge, Hildenborough, Sevenoaks and Tonbridge. Do make sure you book a taxi ahead of time as not all of these stations have permanent taxi ranks.
Is there disabled access?
Yes disabled parking is available in our car park and the historic house is accessible by ramp. Our front desk staff will be happy to assist you when you arrive. Please be aware that some rooms are not accesisible by wheelchair as we do not have a lift but there are interpretations for these rooms in the Housekeeper’s Room.
