Sarah Salway has written six books: three novels, Something Beginning With, Tell Me Everything and Getting the Picture, a book of short stories, Leading the Dance, and two collections of poetry, You Do Not Need Another Self-Help Book and Digging Up Paradise. She regularly teaches writing courses at the University of Kent‘s Tonbridge centre and has run groups in libraries, gardens, yurts and corporate offices.

Workshop 1 – Inspiration for your Creative Writing

Using a mixture of practical writing exercises, prompts and published examples, this workshop will help you kickstart your writing into life, or even back to life. A fun, supportive and stimulating session, suitable for absolute beginners and more experienced writers. You’ll leave with a notebook full of new ideas and approaches, as well as suggestions on what to do next.

Workshop 2 – How To Get Published

2.30-4.30   £25.00  The Library

Get your poems and short stories ready for publication, explore current opportunities in magazines, competitions and online, and find out what editors are looking for. You’ll come away from this supportive workshop with practical editing tips, suggestions for where to send your work, and shared ideas and tips. Suitable for writers with some work already completed, or for those wanting to find out about the current market.
