Shop and Victorian Tea Room

If you don’t have time to visit the Collections inside the house, there is free entrance to the castle grounds, the shop and the tearoom.

Our newly refurbished Victorian Tea Room, with crisp linens, fine china and a wonderful vintage atmosphere, offers a selection of traditional, home made quality fayre.  Our modestly priced menu includes toasted paninis, a selection of fresh sandwiches, cakes and cream teas.  During fine weather, hot and cold drinks, light lunches and afternoon teas may also be served in the tranquil "Tom Close" courtyard, where you can relax and have some refreshment.

Situated next to the Tea Room, our well stocked shop sells beautiful gifts, books and local produce, together with Castle souvenirs.
