Castle TrusteesMark Streatfeild - ChairmanInternational Sales Director of Orion Publishing Group, Mark was born and brought up in Chiddingstone and has lived in the Village with his family for 24 years. He has been a trustee since October 2004 and Chairman since March 2006. Margaret Cooke - TrusteeThe Head Teacher of Chiddingstone Primary School, Margaret has lived in the community for 14 years and is the driving force behind developing the Trust’s educational identity. Margaret has been a trustee since October 2004. Mark Hinton - TrusteeDirector of Japanese Lacquer at Christies, Mark is the longest serving Trustee and provides considerable specialist experience and guidance in the preservation and display of the Collections. Mark has been a trustee since 1992. Mervyn Streatfeild - TrusteeA direct descendant of the original Streatfeild family, owners of Chiddingstone Castle, and elder brother to Mark, Mervyn is a retired Barrister who has lived all his life in Chiddingstone and Chiddingstone Hoath. A keen local historian, Mervyn has been a trustee since October 2004. Roger Perkin - TrusteeA recently retired senior partner at Ernst & Young, Roger brings excellent financial experience as well as significant experience in Trust governance. Roger joined the board of Trustees in September 2009. Julia Hutt - TrusteeAs the Senior Curator of Asian art at the V&A museum, Julia has spent over 30 years studying and preserving Japanese art and her expertise in this field is invaluable to the Castle's collections. Julia has been a Trustee since September 2009. |
